Receiving Specialist

Job Summary:

The primary role of this position is to safely and efficiently load and unload freight, while also sorting it according to the purchase order (PO) and SKU. The individual will be using a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores, scanning boxes, opening cases, and placing them on the correct conveyor for sorting. They will also pack single and multiple customer orders and put correct shipping labels onto packages before putting them on the correct conveyor for shipment. Additionally, they will induct apparel and footwear onto the tilt trays and pack products sorted by the tilt trays for shipment to stores. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and the pay rate is $14.94 per hour. Full-time hours are available with the first shift being from Monday to Friday, covering the morning to afternoon hours, and the second shift being from Sunday to Thursday, covering the afternoon to evening hours. • Properly handling Return To Vendor, returned and liquidation items necessitates adherence to procedures.
• Potential to swiftly adapt to and work in a fast-paced environment.
• The capacity to comprehend text, write effectively, apply mathematics to business situations and analyze statistics are fundamental.
• Alerts the appropriate personnel such as the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager of any problems that arise.
• Complies with the established protocols and procedures presented in the job orientation and ongoing trainings.

Qualifications:

• It is mandatory for the employee to stay in a fixed position for the entire scheduled shift.
• Weekends, evenings and holidays are usually incorporated into work schedules in adherence with labor regulations.
• The applicant must possess particular visual aptitudes, including clear near and distant vision, precise color discrimination, peripheral awareness, accurate distance judgment through depth perception and the ability to adjust the focus as necessary for the position.
• Regular activities such as reaching, pulling, and lifting weights weighing between 25-40 pounds should not pose a significant challenge, although additional support may be required on occasion.
• With necessary support, the capability to convey loads up to 40 pounds for a distance of at least 25 feet.
• Temporary work assignments in different locations may necessitate associates to adjust to varying physical demands.
